Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes and his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, have been enjoying the holiday season after the All-Star pitcher's historic season with the NL Central team.

Dunne, who retired from gymnastics earlier this year, shared a glimpse of her Christmas celebrations with her friends and family in an Instagram post on Thursday night.

While the reigning NL Cy Young winner was not present with Dunne during the celebration, one of Dunne's cousins found a hilarious way to include Skenes by making a caricature of the Pirates ace.

Although Skenes was not part of the Christmas celebrations, Dunne enjoyed it with her family. She shared a hilarious clip on TikTok, writing in the video:

"Trying to bond with my younger cousins but remembering my name is a brainrot term."

In one of her earlier stories, Dunne shared an adorable moment with her dog, Roux, giving a glimpse of the Christmas tree in the background.

"Merry Christmas," Dunne captioned the story.

Paul Skenes' new Pirates teammate raves about reigning NL Cy Young winner

While Paul Skenes had a historic 2025 season, the Pittsburgh Pirates struggled for a second consecutive year with the superstar ace on the roster, finishing bottom of the divison.

However, the Pirates have been one of the most active teams this offseason in their attempt to strengthen the roster for next season. They acquired infielder Brandon Lowe earlier this month and the new Pirate raved about Skenes' ability on the mound.

“I love facing the best competition and the best pitchers out there, and he’s one of those pitchers that it just seems like he’s — usually you see a thrower or a pitcher,” Lowe said. “There’s very rarely times that you get both. Then they’re built in the same arm. He’s got 100 in the tank. But he’s not just going to throw that 100 down the middle. He’s working edges, he’s playing the at-bat."

The two-time All-Star second baseman, who is expected to back Skenes' pitching, had a solid season with the Tampa Bay Rays, slashing .231/.328/.443 with 21 home runs and 68 RBIs in 109 games.
