Paul Skenes' girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, was excited about the announcement of the NL Cy Young award. She and Skenes arranged for an in-house party with friends and family.

The Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher was among the three finalists, with the other two being LA Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Philadelphia Phillies southpaw Cristopher Sanchez.

On Wednesday, Dunne shared two Instagram stories to begin the announcement night. The first one was a snapshot of a hot dog grill, captioned:

"nothing screams Cy Young announcement night like:"

It was a nod to Skenes, who’s a frontrunner for this year’s NL Cy Young Award. In the snap, hot dogs are being heated on a roller grill.

Moments later, Dunne posted a mirror selfie in a form-fitting black dress with chain detailing at the neckline.

Paul Skenes celebrates his first NL Cy Young Award with girlfriend Olivia Dunne

Paul Skenes was announced as the unanimous winner of the 2025 NL Cy Young award. He received all 30 first-place votes, and he was surrounded by his loved ones to celebrate the moment.

The first action he took upon hearing his name for the award was to pump his fist before sharing a warm hug with Dunne and celebrating with other friends and family.

The duo arranged a theme party, including a hot-dog roller machine for guests, a cake decorated with Pirates logos, and even a large "2025 CY YOUNG" illuminated sign.

Skenes defeated Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Cristopher Sanchez, well behind in voting. This comes after he registered a stellar season. In 32 starts, including one complete game, Skenes posted a 1.97 ERA, 0.948 WHIP, and 216 strikeouts in 187.2 innings.

While his team didn't make the postseason, Skenes became only the third pitcher in Pirates history to win the Cy Young award.

Dunne's presence with Skenes isn't new. She was also there when the Pirates' ace was announced as the NL Rookie of the Year. This year, he registered another great season, as his MLB career is off to a flyer with Dunne by his side since their time at LSU.
