The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will square off in what will be one of the biggest games of the Week 16 slate.
With the Packers' loss to the Denver Broncos last week, and with the Bears' victory over the Cleveland Browns, Chicago is now in first place in the NFC North over Green Bay.
However, the Packers have an opportunity to flip that on Saturday if they can beat the Bears, who will obviously remain in first place with a win.
Another thing on the line for this contest is a possible playoff berth. Here's how the Packers and Bears can punch their tickets to the postseason in Week 16.
How Packers can clinch playoff berth
1. GB win + DET loss or tie
2. GB tie + DET loss
Both avenues involve the Lions.
If Green Bay wins and Detroit loses or ties, the Packers are in.
If the Packers tie, they would need Detroit to lose to secure a playoff berth.
How Bears can clinch playoff berth
1. CHI win +DET loss or tie
2. CHI tie + DET loss
The Bears have the exact same clinching scenarios as the Packers.
If Chicago wins, the Bears would need the Lions to lose or tie.
If the Bears tie the Packers, the Lions would have to lose for Chicago to punch its postseason ticket.
The Bears and Packers will square off on Saturday, and the Lions take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, so we won't have a resolution until then.
