Millwall visit the Kassam Stadium on Saturday to face off with Oxford United in the EFL Championship, aiming to extend their winning run to five games in the competition. After starting the month with a crushing 4-0 home loss to Coventry City, the Lions have recovered emphatically.
They beat West Brom 3-0 at home, before seeing off QPR 2-1 on the road. It was followed by consecutive home wins over Stoke (2-0) and Leicester City (1-0), too.
Such an upturn in form has seen them climb up to third position in the Championship table with 23 points from 12 games and leaders Coventry City (28 points) are now in sight too.
Alex Neil's side enter the weekend match high on confidence, also because they've been unbeaten away from home in the league so far this season, winning three times in five and drawing two.
Meanwhile, Oxford United have endured another terrible campaign after narrowly surviving relegation last season. They've won just thrice so far, but two of those wins have come in their last three games alone, which is perhaps a sign of things improving.
After the 1-0 win over Derby County on 18 October, the Yellows overcame Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 a week later. Now with 12 points in the bag, Oxford have managed to put some daylight between them and the relegation zone. But they aren't fully out of the woods yet.
