The Rock broke his silence on tweeting about the death of Osama Bin Laden even before President Barack Obama could make the historic announcement.

On 1st May, 2011, Laden's death was confirmed and was also announced by John Cena after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. The then-WWE Champion addressed the fans, and his announcement was replayed the next evening on Monday Night RAW, which aired live from Miami.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rock opened up about his tweet regarding Bin Laden's death and detailed the entire process. He revealed that he made the tweet and was informed shortly after that President Obama hadn't announced Bin Laden's death.

"I’ve got a friend of a friend who gave me a call. The call was like, “Hey, this thing happened.” And I said, “Okay, wonderful news.” I was told on the call that the president at that time [Barack Obama] was going to make his speech in 20 minutes or whatever. I said, “Okay, great.” So 20 minutes go by, and at about the 25th minute, I tweet this. Then I get a second call, and the call is, “Yeah, the president didn’t go on yet.” And I went, “Oh sh*t.”

Jinder Mahal thinks that The Rock is on a higher level than John Cena and Randy Orton

Jinder Mahal spoke about The Rock and his impact on the Professional Wrestling industry. According to the former WWE Champion, The Great One is on a higher level than John Cena and Randy Orton.

Speaking on Click and Tell, Mahal said:

"To be in the ring with The Rock, just feel the energy of the crowd. There's no one like that in wrestling, at least in my generation. I've seen many times John Cena, Randy Orton, those guys, they're very, very top, but Rock is one level higher. He's one level higher. I really think he's probably the most recognizable person on the planet," he said.

The Final Boss hasn't appeared on WWE television since Cena's heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025.
