John Cena's WWE run is set to end in less than six weeks in Washington, DC, at Saturday Night's Main Event. Meanwhile, The Franchise Player dropped a major tease ahead of his final RAW appearance in Boston.
John Cena's retirement tour is set to end in December 2025. While it was filled with creative ups and downs under the Triple H-led management, The Leader of The Cenation will wrestle his final match in Washington and hang up the wrestling boots for good.
In the coming days, the 48-year-old WWE legend returns to his hometown of Boston for his final RAW appearance in his city. Today, he dropped a massive tease and revealed that there will be surprises in store for the fans as 'The Last Time is Now' tournament kicks off this Monday in Massachusetts.
"Seeing all the excitement around Monday Night #WWERaw in Boston. Can’t wait to see the matchups and surprises 👀 for the Last Time is Now tournament. This is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone involved. See you Monday LIVE @tdgarden and on @netflix!," Cena tweeted on X.Seeing all the excitement around Monday Night #WWERaw in Boston. Ex-WWE employee wants legendary name as John Cena's final opponent
Legends and veterans have often discussed John Cena's final opponent, and many have come up with different names. In December 2025, the 17-time world champion will have his final match and retire from the industry as an in-ring performer.
Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Tommy Carlucci suggested Rey Mysterio as John Cena's final-ever opponent in the Stamford-based promotion. Carlucci stated that the last-ever opponent should be able to draw people's attention as well, and a new face might not be able to get the same reaction.
Moreover, Cena and Mysterio do have unfinished business in the promotion. Over a decade ago, The Franchise Player snubbed The Master of 619's title reign when he got a title match a few hours after Mysterio won the WWE Championship in a tournament on RAW.
