Quick-acting cops didn’t quack under pressure when they saved 11 tiny ducklings trapped in a storm drain at the NYPD’s police academy, while their frantic mother looked on, new footage of the daring rescue shows.
The officers, assigned to the College Point academy, instantly got to work when they spotted the mama duck circling the drain as her babies chirped inside around 9 a.m. Saturday, cops said.
They lifted the drain cover before one cop lowered herself into the space and removed the little ducklings – handing them off to her colleagues in blue as she counted, according to video released by the NYPD.
