Nick Wright had a warning for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts amid his alleged feud with WR A.J. Brown. On Saturday's episode of "First Things First", he said that the three-time All-Pro might have more support in the locker room compared to the quarterback.
Wright then compared Jalen Hurts to Russell Wilson, stating how, despite trying to keep a friendly outlook, the Super Bowl XLVIII champion had a lot of tension with other players in the locker room. The analyst believes that Hurts might be reaching that point with the Eagles.
"I'm starting to become more and more convinced that while A.J. Brown is maybe at times a clumsy messenger, that he has more support in that locker room than it's a good take than a lot of the media seems to believe," Wright said. "He's not just lone wolfing out there. ... If it was pretty universally agreed upon that locker room, this guy's out of line, it would be policed differently.•

"But the other thing that was true about Russell Wilson is for a guy who won that much and never said a cuss word publicly, he wasn't as beloved in the locker room as other quarterbacks. And in fact, that you know that one really broke down, and there was a real division out locker room. It feels like we are approaching that in Philadelphia."This season, Jalen Hurts has helped the Eagles to an 8-2 record heading into Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
However, on Saturday, the Athletic's reporter, Diana Russini, wrote about how some players in the locker room and people in the coaching staff aren't happy with the quarterback's play on the field. Reporter Derrick Gunn also highlighted how Hurts' reliance on check-downs and scrambles instead of making throws down the field in tight windows and sticking to the game plan has frustrated his team.
Hurts' safe approach is also part of the reason why A.J. Brown is being targeted less on the field, recording just 457 yards and three touchdowns receiving with 38 receptions.
Jalen Hurts shares his honest thoughts on reports of players and coaches getting frustrated with him
During Wednesday's press conference, Jalen Hurts finally spoke on the reports circulating that coaches and players are frustrated with his approach on the field.
"I take a lot of the responsibility," Hurts said. "I get a lot of attention when things are going well and when things are not going well. I never run away from holding myself accountable and I think that's exactly what I've taken the approach of doing. "We obviously have work to do and that obviously starts with me. That's always my approach. That's always me looking internally first in everything that we do. And then, in due time, rising above."This season, Jalen Hurts has recorded 1,995 yards and 16 TDs passing while rushing for 265 yards and six TDs in 10 games.
The Eagles vs Cowboys Week 12 showdown is scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET.
