Drew McIntyre is set to face Cody Rhodes tomorrow at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, in a shocking twist, Nick Aldis might make an announcement on tonight's episode of SmackDown that may not favor McIntyre.

Over the past few months on the blue brand, The Scottish Warrior has been aiming to dethrone Cody and capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. He finally got a shot at the title at Wrestlepalooza, but failed to get the job done.

However, the 40-year-old never relented and later got his rematch against The American Nightmare on the October 17 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Sadly, he was still unable to win the gold despite putting in a great effort, as the reigning champion attacked him with the title, ending the bout in DQ to retain his belt.

After taking down Cody Rhodes last week, Drew McIntyre may still seek to inflict more harm on him tonight before their upcoming match this Saturday. Given that the rivalry between the duo has been ongoing for a long time, the creative team might now look to bring it to an end.

In a shocking twist tonight, Nick Aldis might announce that if McIntyre loses to The American Nightmare at SNME XLI, he will stop pursuing the title as long as Cody Rhodes has it.

If this happens, it may not favor The Scottish Warrior, as he would be forced to stay off the Undisputed WWE Championship even if Cody doesn't beat him fairly at the upcoming event.

Drew McIntyre could defeat Cody Rhodes at SNME XLI

Given that Drew McIntyre has been getting the upper hand over Cody Rhodes over the past few weeks on SmackDown, many now believe that he will finally dethrone Cody at SNME XLI and win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Furthermore, it is very unlikely that the Stamford-based promotion would give McIntyre another shot against The American Nightmare just to have him lose again. Moreover, Cody couldn't beat The Scottish Warrior fairly in their last match. Hence, it now seems that the title might switch hands tomorrow at the upcoming event.

While this angle might sound convincing, it is speculative as of this writing, and nothing has been confirmed. Fans will have to wait and see how things play out tomorrow at SNME XLI.
