Jeff Gordon let his feelings known after welcoming a new role within Hendrick Motorsports. The former Cup Series driver currently serves as the organization's vice chairman and is elated to lead the team into the NASCAR Cup Series title chase.

After the race at Martinsville, Hendrick Motorsports stars, William Byron and Kyle Larson qualified for the 2025 Cup Series playoffs. Byron won the third and last race of the playoffs round of 8, while Larson qualified on the virtue of points.

Alex Bowman, another HMS driver failed to qualify for the playoffs this year, while Chase Elliott, the reigning Most Popular NASCAR Driver currently, failed to go past the round of 8, along with Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney.

As two Hendrick Motorsports drivers are in the championship 4 and will contest for the title, it is a high time for the team and its executives, including Jeff Gordon. A four-time Cup Series title winner himself, here's what Gordon said about this:

"Just being here, really more ingrained in different areas of the business and getting to know the people on another level and seeing them go to work and seeing them prepare for races, prepare for seasons, celebrate wins, deal with losses personally and professionally, you get emotionally invested in that." "When it doesn't go the way you want it to, it's more devastating, and you're kind of along for the ride with the teams,, and the same thing when it goes well. It's just a great experience to be a part of that with them," Jeff Gordon further added. (Via HendrickMotorsports.com)

Hendrick Motorsports' last Cup Series title win came back in 2021, when Kyle Larson picked his first Championship. It was the year when Larson joined HMS from Chip Ganassi Racing. Prior to that year, another HMS driver, Chase Elliott won in 2020.

Hendrick Motorsports' Jeff Gordon has full faith in driver-crew pair

Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman, Jeff Gordon, revealed that he has full faith in the Kyle Larson and Cliff Daniels pair. Speaking about the driver-crew pair that won HMS the Championship in 2021, here's what Gordon said:

"I think that the combination of those two, the people that they surround themselves with, really help them fight through that. I think when the Playoffs started, their performance was there. I think all through the Playoffs they've been building up to this point. Yeah, I never count those guys out."

Besides Hendrick Motorsports' Kyle Larson and William Byron, Joe Gibbs Racing stars Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe also qualified for the final round of the Cup Series season. They will go head-to-head this weekend at the Phoenix Raceway.
