The New Orleans Pelicans are in the midst of a rough start to their season, sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 0-4 record. Their losses have come against the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, and Denver Nuggets, with an average losing margin of 19.0 points per game.

One positive takeaway for the Pelicans has been Zion Williamson’s performance. The former number one overall pick has managed to stay healthy and been impactful on both ends of the floor. Over the three games, he has averaged 21.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.0 steals per game.

The LA Clippers began their season on a rough note with a surprising 129 to 108 loss to the Utah Jazz. It wasn’t the start fans were hoping for, but James Harden and co. quickly found their rhythm. They redeemed themselves with two strong performances, defeating the Phoenix Suns on October 24 and the Portland Trail Blazers on October 26.

However, much like the Pelicans, the Clippers enter Friday’s matchup on a losing note. In their recent outing, they fell to the Golden State Warriors 98-79.
