Myles Turner clarified a viral clip circulating on social media in the past few days, where he called out former teammate Tyrese Haliburton's trash-talking on the court. In his post on X on Friday, Oct. 31, Turner, who signed with the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason, expressed frustration over fans after taking his statements out of their full context.

Turner called out the "clip farming culture" on social media, saying that the false narrative between him and Haliburton should be put to rest.

"Man I Know It’s Fun To Hate Me Rn Because Of The Rivalry And Allat But Dont Let This Clip Farming Culture Get To Yall Head Me And @Hali Went To War Together For 3 Years," he said. "And He Did Nun But Elevate My Career Dead This False Narrative Immediately It’s All Love On My Side Quote iPacers.com @iPacersblog."

Earlier in the show, Turner said that Haliburton knew he was protected with the Pacers, resulting in him having confidence in talking trash against their opponents, which caused fans to speculate about a beef between them.

Turner and Haliburton played together in Indiana from the 2021-2022 season to last year, when they reached the NBA Finals, eventually losing in Game 7 against the eventual champions OKC Thunder.

During Game 7, Haliburton tore his Achilles, ruling him out for the rest of the 2025-2026 season.

After averaging 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game in the playoffs, Turner opted to leave the Pacers in the offseason, instead signing with the Bucks after Milwaukee waived star guard Damian Lillard.

The Bucks lost to the Pacers in the first round of last season's playoffs.

Myles Turner explains why he left the Pacers in the offseason

Myles Turner's departure from the Pacers came as a shock, considering his fine play in the playoffs last season. The sharpshooting big man revealed why he chose to sign with the Bucks, instead of staying with the Pacers, during his interview on Thanasis Antetokounmpo’s podcast, Thanalysis Show.

"I guess the front office and ownership just basically changed their mind and was like, ‘Ah, well you know yeah we told you all these things or yeah you know you helped us get to the finals and Eastern conference finals but and we had to pivot,’" he said. "That’s basically what the sentiment was, and you know we were just very far apart on you know our what we thought the future should be in a sense.”

Now, as the starting center of the Bucks, Turner averages 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game alongside franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
