Colin Cowherd is not a big fan of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and the NFL analyst had some stern words for the second-year quarterback after Sunday's 30-16 loss against the Baltimore Ravens.

Cowherd has often been critical of Williams' passing and running game. Williams completed 25 of his 38 pass attempts for 285 yards wth a costly interception in the fourth quarter.

The NFL analyst had some choice words for the Bears quarterback on Sunday's episode of "The Colin Cowherd Podcast."

"Caleb, in my opinion, is never going to be an accurate, consistently accurate thrower of the football in this league, am I too harsh?"

Cowherd's guest on the podcast, John Middlekauff, a former scout for the Philadelphia Eagles, highlighted Williams as a "problem" for the Bears and Ben Johnson.

"He has not played well, their team has," Middlekauff said. "The running back has played well, and the defense has played well, the quarterback has not. How many times today with Caleb (were there) guys in the flat, even on completions they have to stop and catch the ball. "There's no rhythm to his game. I think Caleb isn't remotely a good player. Physically, he's got a lot of gifts, but in terms of playing the quarterback position, I think he's borderline not even average. That's a problem."

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, coach Ben Johnson differ on the costly interception in Ravens loss

Caleb Williams' interception came in the fourth quarter with the Bears trailing the Ravens by three points. Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins picked Williams' pass and set up a touchdown for Baltimore.

Bears coach Ben Johnson felt Williams should have opted for a different option for the play.

"Yeah, I didn't quite see," Johnson said. "I would have to check it out on film just one more time. Just in my mind, there might have been another option that we could have gotten to."

However, the Bears quarterback seemingly disagreed with his coach, saying he didn't have any other options but acknowledged his erratic pass.

"Yeah, it was a good read," Williams said. "Rome man to man with the guy that caught the pick. I just didn't give a good ball to Rome."

Williams has thrown for 1,636 yards with four interceptions in seven games and has a 61.9% pass completion rate, the 24th best in the league.
