BTS and Lizzo's friendship over the years

Singer Lizzo has always been open about her love and admiration for BTS and its members. The first notable instance of this happened in 2019, when she appeared for a "React" segment for CBC Music.

A short video titled Lizzo listens to BTS for the first time was released by the FM radio network's channel on YouTube, in which she was asked to listen to the band's song Boy With Luv. Her reactions clearly indicated that she enjoyed the song.

Nearly two years later, during an Instagram live in 2021, she was asked by a fan whether she liked the South Korean boy band. She replied that she did and mentioned that her sister is an ARMY.

“I think they’re extremely talented. It’s mind blowing. And funny when you like really get to know everyone’s individual personalities,” Lizzo said.

American singer, rapper, songwriter Lizzo in her IG Live: "I do like BTS. My sister loves. My sister's in ARMY and she introduced me to BTS. I think they're extremely talented, it's mindblowing, and funny.. I love Jimin. I think Jimin is hilarious and like fierce and beautiful."

Due to her admiration for BTS, she even covered their song Butter, on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge in September 2021. A couple of months later, in November, she crossed paths with j-hope, Jungkook, V, and Jimin at Harry Styles' concert, as per E! News. She shared the moment on Instagram, captioning her post:

"Me & my besties… swipe for #VMINZZO content"

In other news, BTS' Taehyung became the first-ever Korean artist to attend the Vogue World: Hollywood event. His outfit, designed by Korean designer Jaybaek Couture, incorporated Korean culture.

He wore a grey trench coat with a red norigae-style belt, which drew inspiration from traditional Joseon-era attire. The Winter Ahead singer completed his look with a hat. He was also seen interacting with multiple international celebrities at the event.
