Four wins is all Notre Dame needs to win its third consecutive NCAA championship.
It cruised to the past two titles, losing just three games total in two seasons. The 2025 season has been different with the program losing four games, including the first-round matchup to Syracuse in the ACC Tournament.
This isn't the dominant Notre Dame of year's past, but no other team has been as good over the past few seasons. The Fighting Irish need four wins to make history. They come in unranked and will play No. 4 Ohio State in the first round.
These teams faced off earlier this season with the Buckeyes winning 10-9.
Cornell enters the tournament with the top seed after holding a 14-1 record this season. Maryland, the 2024 runner-up, owns the No. 2 seed, and Princeton is the third seed.
The tournament began May 7 with opening-round games, and the first round kicks off May 10.
