It’s a light 2-pack of playoff games in the NBA Monday night, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t intrigue.
Miami is trying not to get swept out of the playoffs at home, while Houston doesn’t want to get put to the brink of elimination in the Bay Area.
With that in mind, let’s share our favorite NBA player prop picks for the April 28 NBA Playoffs schedule below.

NBA Player Prop Picks for April 28
Davion Mitchell Over 11.5 points vs Cavaliers (-135 at Bet365)
Seriously, the books’ disrespect for Davion Mitchell’s scoring prowess is your betting gain. Mitchell’s scoring line is 11.5 for Monday – a figure he has topped in every game this series.
In fact, Mitchell has now scored at least 12 points in 13 of his last 15 regular season games.
He’s climbed to the No. 3 scorer for the Heat these playoffs, shooting a team-best 68.8% from the field.
Even if the Heat gets blown out and swept in South Beach, I think Mitchell again shines.
Fred VanVleet Under 14.5 points (-125 at Bet365)
After Fred VanVleet had his best scoring output with 17 points in Houston’s 104-93 Game 3 loss to the Warriors, the books have him with a 14.5-point scoring line in Game 4.
That might be a little generous for a guy who is shooting (gulp) 26.8% from the field and a grim 20.7% from 3-point range in this series.
VanVleet has been scoring with little frequency or efficiency of late. He has gone for less than 15 points in seven of his last nine regular season games.
This feels like the young guys like Jalen Green really get cooking for Houston, with FVV perhaps contributing with a 3-pointer here and there.
Steven Adams Over 4.5 rebounds vs Warriors (+105 at Bet365)
We wrap with another veteran Rockets player, this time, Steven Adams.
The 31-year-old finished Game 3 with eight points and six rebounds. His rebounding line is set for 4.5 against the Warriors.
Adams, who has averaged seven rebounds a game in around 20 minutes of work off the bench in these playoffs, has gone over the total twice, missing the third by just two boards.
With Houston leading the NBA in rebounding during the playoffs at 50 per game, including a league-best 16 offensive rebounds per game, Adams’ best craft is necessary for the Rockets to be successful.
Against a criminally undersized Warriors team, Adams should take advantage.
