The Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs have battled all season long for the Western Conference crown.
With just 10 games remaining, Oklahoma City seems likely to finish with the top overall seed, considering they lead the Spurs by three games in the standings.
That said, San Antonio has dominated the season series wining four out of five games against the defending champions.
Amidst the battles between both sides, it's been hard to ignore the rivalry growing between All-Stars Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren.
The two have been compared to one another even before reaching the NBA, due to their height, frames and shot-blocking ability.
In a recent interview with Hoops Hype, NBA Hall of Famer Robert Parish spoke about the dynamic between the two big men, saying: "If Wemby played each game the way that he does against Oklahoma City, San Antonio is going to be a problem. Because I think it's more to do with Chet Holmgren, as opposed to Oklahoma City being the defending champions. Chet brings out that dog in Wemby."
Many have speculated that the rivalry dates back to the U19 FIBA World Cup in 2021, where Holmgren and Team USA got the better of Wembanyama and France.
Either way, when these two centers have met, each have put on a show.
However, with the season series complete, the two sides won't meet again until the Western Conference Finals, assuming both teams get there.
In the meantime, they'll continue to battle it out for the top-seed.
