The 2025 NBA Finals have hit a pivotal point.

Through four matchups between the Pacers and Thunder, the series is knotted at two wins apiece, with both teams showcasing their elite depth and clutch gene so far. Heading into Monday's Game 5, Oklahoma City has the momentum after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder staged a comeback while staring down a 3-1 series deficit.

With Gilgeous-Alexander leading the charge in a 31-17 fourth-quarter run, it was a surprising collapse for Indiana, which has looked every bit of a real championship contender after entering the Finals as the underdog.

The Pacers stole Game 1 on the road with a Tyrese Haliburton game-winner, then ran away with Game 3 at home with a full-team effort. Rick Carlisle's squad had an opportunity to put itself on the verge of a title in Game 4, but it fell apart in the final minutes to give the NBA Finals even more juice moving forward.

The Oklahoma City defense vs. Indiana offense matchup has been a show in the first four Finals games, and it should be more of the same in Game 5. While Gilgeous-Alexander (32.8 points per game in the Finals) has been the top star, plenty of others have had their big-time moments on the league's grandest stage.

After Monday's game, either the Thunder or Pacers will be one win away from hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy in a series that has already provided unique tests for each team. More is on the line in Game 5 than ever, and the intensity in the NBA Finals should hit a new peak as we enter true do-or-die scenarios for Oklahoma City and Indiana.
