Childish Gambino's Camp Flog Gnaw booth reportedly has Cancel Cards, featuring Drake, Diddy, and R. Kelly, among others. The musician has had multiple exchanges with Drizzy over the years and appears to have taken another dig at him.
Camp Flog Gnaw is an annual music festival created by Tyler, The Creator, in Los Angeles. It has been held for most years since 2012 and happened this weekend (November 22-23) as well. On Saturday, fans spotted 'Cancel Cards' being sold at Childish Gambino's booth. These cards had Drizzy, R. Kelly, Diddy, and Target, among others.
Fans online have responded to this, with some referencing the name of Gambino's second child, i.e., Drake. One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote:
"-named his son after Drake btw"@tervisscoot -named his son after Drake btw
Another wrote,
@Kurrco That bum disses Drake by calling him a white boy….. Yet his son is half white and he named him Drake 🤣
Another commented,
@Kurrco the only people that don't find this funny are Drake fans...
Users continued to react to these cards, with many finding the descriptions "weird", as one tweeted,
@Kurrco lmao r kelly gold showering the land is low key insane
Another wrote,
@Kurrco Ngl comparing Drake to actual abusers is weird as hell
Another commented,
@Kurrco Most of y’all think this is weird because a lot of you dickride Drake, I think this is weird because Childish Gambino is essentially profiting off of the victims suffering, we’re not the same.
When Drake appeared to label Childish Gambino's track, This Is America, "overrated"
Wireless Festival 2025 - Day One (Image Source: Getty)Childish Gambino, whose real name is Donald McKinley Glover Jr., released a song titled This Is America on May 6, 2018. It was deemed to be a diss track towards Drizzy, as was later confirmed by the musician himself.
Drake subtly reacted to this song during his performance at Chicago’s United Center on July 5, 2023. He performed his song, Headlines, on stage while a number of headlines were displayed in the background. One of them read:
“The overrated and over awarded hit song ‘This Is America’ was originally a Drake diss record.”Meanwhile, Grover Jr. had confirmed that it was a diss track against the Canadian rapper in an interview with GQ, published on April 4, 2023, saying:
“I had the idea three years before. I told [director] Hiro [Murai] the idea, and he’s like, ‘I really want to do that.’ The idea for the song started as a joke. To be completely honest, ‘This is America’ — that was all we had was that line. It started as a Drake diss, to be honest, as like a funny way of doing it. But then I was like, this shit sounds kind of hard though. So I was like, let me play with it.”It's unclear what started the feud between the two artists, but it has been going on-and-off for a few years now.
When Childish Gambino opened up about Drake and Kendrick Lamar's beef
Gambino released his fifth studio album, Bando Stone & the New World, on July 19, 2024. Ahead of its release, the musician claimed that he wanted to bring some fun to society. He referenced the high-profile beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, saying during an Instagram Live (h/t Childish Brandino):
“Even this year, the most fun we’ve had was from a fight. A song from a fight, from a rap beef. Which I enjoyed every minute of. It was very fun. But still, kinda negative in a certain light, I guess.”Gambino said that he "just feels bad for y’all [society]" as people aren't having enough fun and they are more drawn towards the "bad stuff".
