When players spend a decade or longer with the same NFL franchise, they become very familiar with their division opponents. Because of the way the NFL schedule is structured, division rivals play a home-and-away series every season. That guarantees at least two meetings per year, with the possibility of a third in the playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers spent 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. As a starter, he faced the Chicago Bears 29 times and went 24-5, dominating the so-called rivalry. Rodgers then spent two seasons with the New York Jets and didn’t face Chicago during that time. The veteran quarterback has since signed a one-year deal — presumably his last — with the Pittsburgh Steelers and gets a chance to play the Bears one more time.

Playoffs
Rodgers only faced the Bears once in the playoffs so far in his career. The Packers beat the Bears 21-14 on January 23, 2011. The quarterback finished 17-30 with 244 yards, no passing touchdowns and two interceptions. Rodgers added a rushing touchdown in the win.

What the Bears said about Rodgers 'I own you' taunt
Rivalries can create deep animosity between teams and fan bases. For Rodgers, he wanted the Bears to know he believed he had owned the rivalry. After scoring a game-sealing rushing touchdown against Chicago in October 2021, the veteran quarterback was caught on camera yelling, “I own you. I own you. I still own you.”
Rodgers later said the outburst was directed at a particular fan who had been heckling him all game and flipping him the double birds. He faced Chicago three more times in the regular season after that — and beat the Bears every time.
