Myles Garrett reveals true feelings on Eagles allegedly offering 3 first-rounders for All-Pro DE during trade deadline

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was linked with a trade to the Philadelphia Eagles before Tuesday's trade deadline. There were rumors that the Eagles were willing to offer three first-round picks to land the six-time Pro Bowler.

While Garrett is set to remain with the Browns for the rest of the season, he addressed some of the rumors around being traded to Philly.

“That’s got nothing to do with me," Garrett said. "What Howie (Roseman) and the Eagles chose to talk to Andrew (Berry) about…I haven’t heard anything about those talks.”

Earlier in the offseason, multiple reports claimed that Garrett had requested a trade away from Cleveland. However, the Browns front office had no plans to part ways with the DE, and instead, offered him a lucrative four-year, $160 million extension.

The Browns took Garrett with the top pick in 2017. He has earned four first-team All-Pro selections and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.

This season, Garrett has been one of the best defensive players in the league, despite Cleveland's overall struggles. He has recorded 31 tackles (22 solo), 10.0 sacks, one forced fumble and 8.5 stuffs.

The Browns (2-6) are currently last in the AFC North and will need a turnaround for the ages to make the playoffs.

Myles Garrett and the Browns will face the New York Jets (1-7) in Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Jets earned their first win of the season in Week 8 when they beat the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38. They had a BYE in Week 9.

Meanwhile, the Browns lost 32-13 to the New England Patriots in Week 9.
