MS Dhoni clicked with Sakshi at Salman Khan’s birthday party ahead of IPL 2026 [In Pictures]

Former India captain MS Dhoni was clicked with wife, Sakshi, at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's birthday party ahead of the IPL 2026 season. Salman turned 60 on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

The veteran actor had a birthday bash in a private event with family and close friends at his Panvel farmhouse. MS Dhoni was among the few guests who attended the party. Dhoni and Sakshi posed alongside Salman and a few others.

Salman was seen in a plain black t-shirt and denims, his usual casual style. Meanwhile, Dhoni was seen sporting a tan jacket with jeans. His daughter Ziva also attended the party. It was among the rare public appearances made by the former Indian captain.

Dhoni was the only cricketer present while Bollywood celebrities Karisma Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Genelia Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, Maniesh Paul, Pragya Jaiwal, and Zeeshan Siddiquia among others, graced the event with their presence.

As MS Dhoni left the midnight party, exiting in a car with Sakshi and Ziva, paps and fans gathered outside to catch a glimpse of the legendary cricketer. They were also heard chanting 'Mahi bhai'.

Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020. Ever since, he has only been seen actively in the IPL every season.

MS Dhoni will play for CSK in IPL 2026

MS Dhoni will once again be seen on the field in a few months from now when the IPL 2026 season kicks off. He was retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the 2026 auction.

Notably, he was retained by the franchise ahead of the 2025 season for ₹4 crore under the uncapped player category. Dhoni even captained the side after Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out due to injury after the initial matches.

CSK did not have a great season as they finished at the bottom of the table. Dhoni's performance with the bat was not significant either. He made just 196 runs in 13 innings at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 125.17.

With the likes of Sanju Samson and Kartik Sharma joining the team for the new season, it remains to be seen how many games Dhoni will play for CSK.
