"It was his golf swing on YouTube," DeChambeau said (via Flushing it on X). "'I'll never forget this YouTube video that had some beautiful music playing behind it. It was really intense. This music from Blood Diamond the movie with a compilation of Ben Hogan’s golf swings and it emotionally struck me in a way that I can still feel today. "Just a beauty behind it and this mysteriousness about how good he hit it, and just everybody talking about how good of a ball striker he was and if he could just putt, he would have won everything and been the best golfer of all time," he added.Bryson DeChambeau has become more active on YouTube and is widely known for sharing golf-related videos on his channel. The LIV Golf star has around 2.55 million subscribers on his channel. Last year, his golf series “Break 50” grabbed the attention of the people.
Bryson DeChambeau reflects on his 2025 season
In his interview with Flushing It, Bryson DeChambeau also talked about his performance in 2025. He had a decent season and recorded some notable finishes.
He won on the LIV Golf but struggled in the majors. DeChambeau rated his season as a “B-minus.” He also talked about his game at the Augusta National and LIV Golf Korea event. He said (via Flushing It on X):
"I'm pretty hard on myself. So, I personally think it was, you know, I didn't win a major, so in my perspective, it was definitely a B to B minus. I felt like I was doing a lot of things (to start the year) and I couldn't get my game quite where I wanted it to be. I found it right around Augusta and played well through Korea, I just didn't execute and do the things I know I needed to do."At the Masters, Bryson DeChambeau had an amazing time. He started the campaign with an opening round of 69 and then carded the next three rounds of 68, 69, and 75. He settled in a tie for fifth place. He was close to winning the PGA Championship but settled in second place.
At The Open, he was tied for tenth and missed the cut at the US Open. Meanwhile, on the LIV Golf tour, Bryson DeChambeau won in Korea and was the runner-up in the Mexico City event. Some of his notable finishes include T6 in Riyadh, T10 in Singapore, and T4 in Virginia.
