The market for All-Star infielder Alex Bregman has picked up over the last few days, with a handful of high-profile names remaining unsigned in free agency.
Bregman, who opted out of his Boston Red Sox contract after his 2025 season with the team, has been strongly linked with a reunion with the AL East franchise. However, several other teams have also been linked with the All-Star third baseman in free agency.
MLB insider Ken Rosenthal reported that the Arizona Diamondbacks have emerged as a potential suitor for Bregman. While the Diamondbacks have been rumored to be looking at trading away infielder Ketel Marte, Rosenthal said the Snakes could sign Bregman and also keep hold of Marte.

Last offseason, Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Red Sox after reportedly turning down a $171.5 million contract offer from the Detroit Tigers. The All-Star infielder is expected to command a bigger contract this offseason after a strong season in Boston.
MLB insider links Toronto Blue Jays to Alex Bregman amid interest from Diamondbacks and Red Sox
While the Diamondbacks have been linked with Alex Bregman this week, MLB insider Jeff Passan reported that the star third baseman is being pursued by the Toronto Blue Jays.
"I don't know how much the Arizona thing's going to work," Passan said. "I think that the Blue Jays are very much in the mix there. It’s a little bit tougher for them because they’ve had Ernie Clement and Addison Barger at third base. Both have done well there."While Bregman hit .273 with a .821 OPS, 18 homers, and 62 RBIs in 114 games for the Red Sox, Passan feels that the third baseman has more to offer to the Blue Jays with his leadership qualities in the clubhouse.
