Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem almost ready, as game drop receives its final features

Minecraft’s Mounts of Mayhem update has kept players excited with all the new features, mobs, and items coming to the blocky world. The final game drop of the year was announced during the Live event and the highlight features included the nautilus mob and the spear weapon. But things got even better as the developers kept adding more features.

Finally, the Mounts of Mayhem update is ready as the developers have announced the final testing phase for the game drop. They also added some new features and tweaked the announced features to make things even better. Here’s everything about the final game drop of Minecraft for 2025 and what players are getting with it.

With the change in the update structure, Mojang Studios have broken their usual one major update every year into four smaller but more focused game drops. And many players would consider it to be one of the best changes in recent times. The year started the Spring to Life game drop that improved the immersion of the blocky world.

Chase the Skies game drop was monumental as it added the happy ghast and made saddles craftable. Exploration is a key aspect of the blocky world and this update was all about improving it. The Copper Age update fixed the copper block issue and finally, the Mounts of Mayhem update will make the game more challenging.

The final game drop of the year for Minecraft will bring the nautilus mob that players can ride to explore the underwater world. While on the nautilus, the Breath of the Nautilus status effect will be activated, allowing players to breathe underwater.

There’s also a zombie variant of the mob that will be ridden by the drowned. However, once the drowned is dismounted, the zombie nautilus will become a passive mob that players can also ride.

The spear weapon is also a great addition to Minecraft as it allows players to try new combat methods. The spear can be used while on a mount which makes it even more interesting. Apart from these, the developers are finally bringing zombie horses to Survival mode. These undead horses will spawn with the zombie mob on them.

The final features have been added to the update such as the netherite horse armor, coral zombie nautilus, the parched mob, the camel husk, etc. One thing is for sure; the Mounts of Mayhem game drop will substantially change the game for the better.
