Shivam Dube smashed a monstrous six off Adam Zampa in the fourth T20I between India and Australia in Queensland on Thursday, November 6. The left-handed batter hit the ball out of the stadium, forcing a new ball to resume play.

The maximum came in the 11th over of India’s innings. Zampa bowled a tossed-up delivery wide of off-stump, and Dube reached the ball to perfection. The weight transfer behind the shot helped him launch the ball down the ground. Notably, Dube loves hitting the spinners out of the park.

After Sanju Samson, India tries Shivam Dube at No. 3 in the AUS vs IND T20I series

Team India tried Shivam Dube at No. 3 after Sanju Samson failed to deliver in the second T20I at the same spot. The wicketkeeper-batter managed just two runs off four deliveries in that game. Dube, meanwhile, played a decent yet slow knock. It remains to be seen whether the Men in Blue stick with the same approach in the fifth and final T20I. Dube’s promotion with the bat came after he failed to deliver with the ball in the third T20I. The all-rounder conceded 43 runs for one wicket in his three overs.

Meanwhile, in the fourth T20I, the tourists were 121/3 after 14.1 overs at the time of writing, with skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma at the crease. Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma chipped in with 46 (39) and 28 (21), respectively.

The five-match series is currently level at 1-1. Australia won the second T20I by four wickets, while India emerged victorious by five wickets in the third game. The series opener was abandoned due to rain after the Men in Blue faced 9.4 overs.
