The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to play the fourth game of their five-game homestand on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Less than 48 hours ago, Minnesota handed the OKC Thunder their third loss of the season, as they defeated the champions 112-107.
Anthony Edwards sealed the win with the game-winning shot in his return after missing three games. The All-Star finished the night with 26 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.
The Timberwolves have won three of their last four games, with their only loss coming at home against the Memphis Grizzlies. They currently sit sixth in the Western Conference with an 18-10 record, including a 10-5 mark at home and 8-5 on the road.

As for the Bucks, they arrive in Minnesota looking to snap a two-game winless skid. Milwaukee have played 12 games on the road this season, compared to just 16 at home. They have excelled at home, boasting an 8-8 record. However, their performance on the road has seen more games end in losses, with a 3-9 record.

Their last road win was on Nov. 11, a 116-114 victory against the Dallas Mavericks, adding more pressure to turn things around.
This is the first matchup between the two nonconference teams. Last season, Milwaukee posted a 2-0 record.

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to be sidelined with a calf issue and has now missed five consecutive games. Recent reports suggest his recovery could take four to six weeks. It's never good news when injuries take longer than expected, as teams want access to their full roster and having healthy players is always best.
Taurean Prince is another player sidelined, nursing a neck injury. However, there’s some good news for Kyle Kuzma, who missed the last game due to illness; he is expected to rejoin the lineup.

As for the hosts, Minnesota has a nearly full clean bill of health, with Mike Conley being the only name on the injury report. He’s listed as questionable with an Achilles injury and has missed the last three games.
Coach Chris Finch is expected to go with the usual lineup of Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, Rudy Gobert, Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards. Finch will be coaching from the sideline after being ejected less than six minutes into the previous game against the Thunder. He was fined $35,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct toward the officials, which Edwards said he would help cover on Finch’s behalf.
