The future of Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans is as clear as muddy water right now, and that has some fans a little nervous.
The thought of the franchise great playing for another team in 2026 is nightmare fuel, and given how the NFL landscape has changed over the years, it's a nightmare that has a very real chance of becoming reality.
But the ball is clearly in Evans' court, and it is no secret that the star receiver is exploring his options to see what is out there from the other 30+ teams.
And his agent, Deryk Gilmore, says that he and his client are doing their due diligence before making a decision.
"I just think that he basically wants to look at all 32 teams," Gilmore said, on The Drive with TKras via Pewter Report. "I can't go out here and say, 'Oh, yeah. We're looking for a new team.' I mean, that hasn't been the mindset here. We basically just want to do an analysis. When you're making a business decision, you want to sit down, go through, do your checks and balances, make sure you evaluate everything you do, and then from there, when you're making a decision, you're not making an emotional decision.
"I think that's what we're trying to do. In the same way, we did that last time. We didn't make an emotional decision, and he ended back up in Tampa."

Will Evans be a Buc in 2026?
That is certainly on the table.
Who knows, Evans might go through all other teams and decide that the Buccaneers are the best place for him, just as Gilmore stated happened last time.
Conversely, a move to the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, or Kansas City Chiefs might be what Evans is seeking as he hunts another Super Bowl.
But one thing is clear: Evans isn't rushing into a decision. He and his agent are going through the pros and cons of each situation and will arrive at what they think is best for them.
Whether or not that will be in Tampa remains to be seen.
