After Dying for Sex’s Michelle Williams, who is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress, and Thomas Kail confirmed the arrival of their third baby via surrogate, they stepped out at the Emmys 2025.

Looks like the sitter came through.

Indeed, Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail are enjoying a parents’ night out at the 77th Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Sept. 14, less than a month after the Dying for Sex star confirmed the arrival of the couple’s third baby via surrogate.

The couple—who also share Hart, 5, as well as a baby born in 2022—matched in white with Michelle sporting a vintage Chanel gown. Meanwhile, the Hamilton director donned a white tux jacket with black trousers and tie.

Michelle—also mom to Matilda, 18, with the late Heath Ledger—previously shared the exciting news of their family’s newest addition by giving their surrogate a special shoutout during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last month.

“I've got to give a big shoutout to Christine,” the Dawson’s Creek alum gushed during the Aug. 18 episode. “Because this last baby did not come through my body, but the miracle of our little girl is thanks to Christine.”

Her and Thomas’ night out at the Emmys couldn’t be more well-timed. After all, she detailed last month how tricky it has been for the couple to balance three under 5 at their home on top of their work schedules.

“It's just really busy and I'm trying to figure out the work-life balance,” she admitted. “I hear that a lot of people are talking about self care and I'm just wondering, 'When?' Because I'm the working mom and I already have the guilt and I don't want to take more time away from them. But I understand that I need to fill up the tank.”

Indeed, Michelle has been all work lately, as she earned a nod for her performance in Dying for Sex for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Anthology Series or Movie alongside The Penguin’s Cristin Milioti, SirensMeghann Fahy, Disclaimer’s Cate Blanchett and Black Mirror’s Rashida Jones

The venture of playing Molly, a terminal cancer patient on a journey of sexual discovery, was a big hitter for Michelle, but she said it was ultimately her family, specifically her teenager, who encouraged her to take it.

“To go make a show about sex and death with so many unknown elements,” she told New York magazine in March. “You really do need the support of your home team to say, ‘Go, Mom, go.’”
