Mets fans will love this bold 'juggernaut' prediction on 2026 season result

The New York Mets have undergone some major changes this offseason. No team in baseball might have seen much change from 2025 to 2026.

Not only did the Mets lose talent like Pete Alonso, Edwin Diaz, and other long-tenured veterans, but they added a ton of talent, with Freddy Peralta, Luis Robert Jr., and Bo Bichette. It's a new-look roster, and one that could be in store for a big season.

MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince is predicting that the Mets, amid this major roster overhaul, will be a "juggernaut" in 2026 and have a season that would have Mets fans ecstatic.

Mets predicted to be a 'juggernaut' in 2026

"The Mets will beat the Dodgers in the NLCS," Castrovince predicts. "The Mets' roster is constructed in such a way that they will either be a juggernaut or an injury-prone mess. I don't see much in between. Nor do I want to."

Being able to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, the heavy World Series favorite, in the NLCS would be a massive accomplishment for the Mets this year.

After a major roster overhaul, immediately turning around and having an incredible year in 2026 would be exactly what Mets fans are hoping to see this season.

The talent is there, with Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor leading the way alongside Nolan McLean in the rotation, the Mets becoming a World Series team wouldn't be a surprise. But that doesn't make this prediction any less exciting for the Mets and their fans.

Castrovince does mention that there's a chance for the Mets to have an injury-riddled season, which would be a complete disaster.

But he's not predicting such a year will happen, and instead, he's predicting the Mets will make the World Series after beating the Dodgers in the NLCS.
