Mercedes Mone reveals 6-time WWE champion as her favorite opponent

Mercedes Mone recently turned heads by revealing her favorite opponent, who is a former 6-time WWE champion.

Mercedes Mone is arguably the most successful women's wrestler of today. The reigning TBS champion is scheduled to face Kris Statlander for the AEW Women's World Championship at Full Gear 2025, the one title that has eluded her since she joined the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2024. The CEO will also participate in the first-ever Women's Blood and Guts match on November 12, where she will represent the Triangle of Madness team, which also includes Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir. Recently, Mone caught attention online by revealing that former 6-time WWE champion, Bayley, is her favourite opponent of all time.

Bayley, a former two-time WWE Women's Champion and SmackDown Women's Champion, as well as a multi-time Women's Tag Team Champion, had wrestled Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) five years ago on an episode of SmackDown during the COVID-19 era. The match was an instant classic and had drawn about 2.5 million views. The CEO reshared a clip of that match, which was shared earlier by a fan on X.

"My favorite Mark to wrestle!," Mone wrote.

WWE veteran Tommy Dreamer wants Mercedes Mone to relinquish her titles

Mercedes Mone currently holds 12 different championships across various wrestling promotions. Interestingly, she could be entering the match with 13 titles if she defeats APAC Wrestling Women’s Champion Nor “Phoenix” Diana on Saturday for her title at HOG SUPERCLASH.

Despite her success, Mone has faced criticism over how she manages so many titles. Recently, WWE veteran Tommy Dreamer suggested an interesting solution while speaking on Busted Open Radio, stating that the CEO should vacate all her titles in exchange for winning the AEW Women's Championship.

"I would have Mercedes win. And just to be a bigger douche, vacate every title, which then goes to [her saying], I'm not putting everybody over but due to my hectic schedule, make her a bigger heel. I'm only acknowledging this title, almost like everything you did was a stepping stone to get to what you wanted," Dreamer said. [H/T WrestlingINC]
