Victor Lindelof's long stay at Manchester United is close to ending.
After seven years and nearly 300 appearances, the Swedish defender looks set to leave Old Trafford once his contract runs out this summer.
Lindelof’s current deal ends in June, and there’s little hope of an extension. It’s not because he’s lost his touch — in fact, he's played an important role recently with United’s defensive injuries piling up.
But the main reason for his exit is simple: Manchester United want a fresh start at the back.
Four Premier League clubs — Fulham, Everton, West Ham United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers — have already made contact with Lindelof’s representatives.
They smell an opportunity like a striker sniffing out a rebound, and they want him to stay in England.

Victor Lindelof reveals his preference
It’s not just clubs in England eyeing a move. Big names like Juventus, Inter Milan, and Benfica are also monitoring the situation.
But for now, Lindelof is believed to prefer staying in the Premier League, mainly because his family is settled in England.
Speaking earlier this year, Lindelof said: "Benfica is a club that means a lot to me. They shaped me into the player I am today. I don't know what will happen and what my decision will be. But it is a club that I like."
He added, "I'm making the decision with my wife too. Right now, we're keeping our thoughts within the family. I feel that I still have a high level in me."
Lindelof’s next move seems to be about more than just football. It’s about finding the right balance between career and family — a decision tougher than a wet Tuesday night at Stoke.
While United fans will remember him as a steady, if not spectacular, presence, both sides agree it’s time for a new chapter.
Whether Lindelof wears a new Premier League jersey or heads back to Europe remains to be seen — but one thing’s clear: he won't be short of options.
