Colorado's Shilo Sanders waiting to learn NFL Draft fate after Shedeur Sanders slide

8 hours ago 1

Shedeur Sanders had to wait a long time to be drafted.

Shilo Sanders doesn't look like he'll be drafted at all.

The Colorado safety and Deion's son is going to have his pick of teams in undrafted free agency.

Shilo was projected by some to go as high as the fifth round, but that wasn't meant to be.

Shilo's a legitimate NFL defensive back prospect. On a pick-six during his Colorado career, he returned the ball for a touchdown at a max speed of 21.5 miles per hour.

In 2024, Shilo had 67 tackles. He began his college career at South Carolina, then went to Jackson State with his father before following to Colorado.

For some, being an UDFA is a better outcome than being a seventh-round pick.

It allows for players to choose a team they feel they might have the most chance of success with, rather than being shoehorned into one organization.

There'll likely be a number of teams interested in Shilo to play defensive back for them.

He's got the NFL pedigree, for sure.

It's always a little easier to dream on a guy whose father and brother are such big-time players, too.

So now Colorado fans and football watchers everywhere wait to see where Shilo winds up.
