Los Angeles Lakers get injury update on LeBron James after loss to Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been playing well recently and might have an injury to deal with now after LeBron James exited Thursday’s game against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers lost, 120-113, and James had 16 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.

James was unable to finish the game after experiencing discomfort in his elbow, according to head coach JJ Redick. Following the game, Redick said James will get it looked at, and he’s icing it.

“He’s got ice on it right now and it’ll get looked at,” Redick said, per Underdog NBA.

While his comment didn’t give us many details about the severity of the injury, the Lakers don’t really have much of a choice but to work through this. With how old James is, however, it’s possible that any small injury can keep him out much longer than it used to.

The 22-time All-Star is still one of the more important pieces of the Lakers’ roster, though some believe he’s started to slow down. In James’ defense, most players who are 41 do.

The Lakers are on a back-to-back and will take on the Indiana Pacers in Los Angeles on Friday night. Following that game, the Lakers will host the New York Knicks in Los Angeles.
