Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia made history with victory over Washington

Saturday’s victory handed the NFC East title to the Eagles, who are now the division champions for the second straight year. It is the first time since 2004 that a team will defend the NFC East title. In fact, the Eagles were also the last team to win back-to-back NFC titles before 2004, completing four consecutive division championships.

Jalen Hurts delivered an impressive performance as he completed 22 of 30 throws for 185 yards and two touchdowns. However, he also conceded two sacks. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley led the Eagles in rushing as he ran for 132 yards and a score on 21 carries.

AJ Brown also led the team in receptions with nine catches for 95 yards. The reigning Super Bowl champions will now set their sights on defending their Super Bowl title as they prepare for postseason play.

Saturday’s victory reminded Jalen Hurts of an important milestone he achieved in high school, as he commits to more achievements with Philadelphia. He said:

“It’s a great accomplishment today. I mean, kind of reminds me of when I was in high school. We hadn’t been in the playoffs in 20 years, and I was able to do that with my teammates in high school for my pops, and it’s a big feat.”

The Eagles face the Buffalo Bills in their Week 17 game scheduled for next Sunday.
