With Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux announcing their engagement, a clip of Lewis Hamilton at the fan stage ahead of the Hungarian GP has been making rounds on the web. There, the seven-time champion had possibly hinted at the couple getting engaged soon, which indeed came true with the Monegasque's announcement.

Leclerc and Mleux have been dating each other for more than two years. At this time, the fashion model has increased her presence in the F1 paddock, as she attends a myriad of Grand Prix weekends over the years.

Moreover, the pair has now reached a milestone in their relationship by getting engaged, leading the paddock to rewind back the tapes to the Hungarian GP weekend, where Hamilton had dropped a subtle clue among the F1 sphere. He was talking about how so many people were getting married as of lately, and Leclerc was the next in line, as he said, standing alongside the 27-year-old on the fan stage:

"So many people getting married... You're next."

Meanwhile, 2025 marks Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc's first year of racing as teammates.

Lewis Hamilton left Mercedes to move to Maranello. This meant that he would have to partner up with Charles Leclerc at the Scuderia, as Carlos Sainz was left to make way for the incoming Briton.

So, ahead of the season opener, the 40-year-old shared his thoughts on collaborating with Leclerc in his time at Ferrari, and said (via F1's official website):

"Charles is massively talented. Getting to see him work opposite the table and watching him in the garage, it’s been really, really great. Obviously he’s been here for a long time, so he knows the team well, he speaks Italian, he’s at home and at ease. But because we already had a friendship before, that’s made it a lot easier to just get straight into working together." "He’s incredibly talented, so he’s going to be so fast this year. I’m looking forward to learning what I can from him and supporting him alongside the team to the deliver the best results we can get."

Since then, Hamilton and Leclerc's intra-team battles have seen the latter retain the edge over his teammate. The 27-year-old has been the lead point scorer for Ferrari in the 20 race weekends held so far and has claimed seven podiums for the team.

On the contrary, Hamilton has been unable to score a podium in the Grand Prix format so far and is 64 points shy of his teammate's tally.
