LeBron James is keeping a fascinatingly wandering eye on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Los Angeles Lakers' legend is definitely keeping track of what's happening with his hometown NBA team, even from afar.
At his All-Star press conference on Sunday, James was asked who he thinks is going to win the NBA Finals this year.
He started diplomatically, talking about his own team, before shouting out the Cavs.
“Well obviously I’m going to say my team, the Lakers, but if you wanted me to pick one other team, I would say the Cavs," James said. "They for sure got some new great additions."

Before the trade deadline, the Cavs got James Harden from the Clippers and both Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis from the Kings.
Cleveland also has a back-half schedule loaded with teams that are tanking, so the Cavs have the potential to make a serious run toward the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
If Harden gels with Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, this could certainly be a team no one else wants to play in the postseason.

James didn't really have to say anything about another team, but he went there to shout out Cleveland.
Given that LeBron is a free agent after this season, it's certainly an intriguing thing for him to say. Some were wondering if his presser Sunday would be used to announce some kind of retirement plan, but no. Instead, he just had praise for the Cavs.
LeBron has already had two stints in Cleveland. It'd be fitting if his career found a way to end there, too.
