LeBron James earns praise from Robert Parish after breaking his all-time record

Despite falling to the Detroit Pistons Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers have been amongst the hottest teams in the NBA, having won nine of their last 10 games.

As a result, they've moved up to third place in the Western Conference standings, now leading the Denver Nuggets by two games for fourth.

Amidst their impressive run, the Lakers have seen solid contributions from 41-year-old LeBron James.

Against the Rockets, James had an incredibly efficient game, scoring 30 points on 13-for-14 shooting from the field.

This past Saturday, James broke another record, passing NBA Hall of Famer and Boston Celtics legend Robert Parish for the most games played (now 1,613) in NBA history.

In a recent interview with Hoops Hype, the nine-time All-Star spoke about his record being broken, praising James in the process.

"The longevity, the dependability, the reliability that LeBron is currently displaying, I think it's a testament to how he takes care of himself. You know, he takes his fitness serious, diet and fitness."

Although Parish didn't begin his NBA career until age-23, he played until he was 43 and played fewer than 72 games once during his 21-year career.

Despite missing more games to injury than Parish, James debuted at 19-years-old, giving him the time needed to break the all-time record.

Following Monday's loss, the Lakers will return to action Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers as the team hopes to hold the No. 3 seed with 10 games remaining.
