Kim Kardashian Addresses Rumored Rift with Jonathan Cheban
Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban are all good: bible.
The Kardashians star made it known that while she and the former PR pro don’t too spend much time together these days, that friendship is still going strong.
“I love Jonathan,” Kim, 45, revealed on Khloe Kardashian’s Khloe in Wonder Land podcast Jan. 21. “I think people think we don’t talk.”
Indeed, Kim—who shares kids North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with ex-Kanye West—explained that life sent them on two separate paths.
“Jonathan and I are good,” the SKIMS founder explained. “Here’s the thing. I had kids and it’s really hard to maintain friendships when you have kids and you’re like in it. And Jonathan’s not going to come and sit around Calabasas all day, he’s like always on the move.”
Khloe added of the Food God’s busy lifestyle, noting, “I get that. There’s so much history there.”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alums proved that Jonathan is still a fixture around their family, confirming that he attended their mother Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party in November. What’s more, Kim proved Jonathan was just a phone call away as she FaceTimed him during the podcast, and he confirmed he’s still keeping up with the whole family.
“That was probably one of the best parties in like 15 years,” Jonathan, 51, said during the call. “They don’t do parties like that anymore.”

Though she and Jonathan haven’t made any public memories together in a while, Kim looked back on the early days of their friendship where they staged photos with paparazzi.
“We were at a restaurant and we heard these people like, ‘Oh Britney Spears is staying at this hotel in New York,’” she recalled. “So this person at dinner had this crazy Phantom Rolls Royce. Jonathan and I could hardly even get a cab. So, we were like, ‘Can we get a ride to our hotel?’ and the guy’s like, ‘Yeah.’”
From there, Kim recalled the moment she and Jonathan got the attention of the paparazzi.
“So, it looks like we got out with a driver at this hotel, and we got out. Paparazzi everywhere waiting for Britney. They weren’t following us at this point, and we got out and they were like, ‘Kim, Kim, Kim are you here to visit Britney?’ and Jonathan’s like, ‘Keep your head down and shut up.’”
According to Kim, her and Jonathan’s plan worked.
“We go and like hang in the phone booth of this hotel for 20 minutes,” she said. “And we come out and they’re like, ‘Kim how was Britney?’ We totally scammed the system, and it was on like every cover, and we thought we were killing it.”
Jonathan also gave Kim a lesson in working the paparazzi that she uses ‘til this day.
“There was one time where Jonathn was like, ‘You have got to stop smiling,’” she told Khloe of his advice. “’Like, Victoria Beckham never smiles.’ And we’d walk out of Intermix, and I’d stop smiling.”
