David Stearns is cooking, and the betting lines are reacting.

In the words of New York Post columnist Joel Sherman, the Mets’ president of baseball operations began “settling all family business” by trading for Luis Robert Jr., Freddy Peralta and Tobias Meyers, and signing Bo Bichette to rework nearly the entire roster.

The Mets moved slightly in World Series winner odds, going from 15/1 to 14/1 on theScore Bet, while Bichette hopefuls also moved in the opposite direction.

The Phillies and Blue Jays each saw their World Series odds drop from 12/1 to 14/1 after the former failed to sign and the latter saw him depart.

The Dodgers remain the massive favorites as +225 favorites to three-peat as World Series champions.

All roads in the National League lead back to Hollywood now and going forward, so you’re likely to get some juicy odds on any team in that league that is not the Dodgers.

Still, the Mets are not projected to be the second-best team in the National League despite the bevy of moves to reshape their roster.

Philadelphia was previously hoping to land Bichette but upon Kyle Tucker’s snubbing of the Mets and signing with the Dodgers, Stearns quickly pivoted to Bichette and brought him to Flushing.

Phillies general manager Dave Dombrowski turned around and re-signed catcher JT Realmuto to a three-year contract, which clearly wasn’t looked at as a great pivot, according to the betting markets.
