The Chiefs dynasty is still in full effect.

Despite falling in the Super Bowl to the Eagles last season, Kansas City has been the AFC Champion in four of the past five seasons, a run of dominance seldom seen in sports.

Patrick Mahomes and company aren't going anywhere in 2025 and will have the opportunity to get back to the Super Bowl for the fourth straight year with one of the NFL's more favorable schedules.

Kansas City plays three of its four most challenging opponents at Arrowhead Stadium and has a slew of games against teams that were among the worst in the league last season.

Here is a complete breakdown of the Chief's 2025 schedule, including dates, start times, and analysis for all 17 games.

Chiefs strength of schedule

Since a 15-2 season in 2024 concluded, the Chiefs have known their opponents for the 2025 season. Kansas City's strength of schedule for this year is purely based on the results of the 2024 season, meaning that while it is a strong indication of how hard a team's schedule will be, it won't be perfect. Some teams will improve or regress from last year.

The Chiefs have the 11th-most difficult schedule this year, based on opponent winning percentage from 2024. They play seven teams that made the playoffs last season.

Toughest tests: With the return of Aidan Hutchinson, a fully loaded Lions defense will be a tall task for Patrick Mahomes. A Super Bowl rematch with the Eagles and another road game against the Bills round out the most challenging part of Kansas City's schedule.

Biggest breaks: The Chiefs also play the teams that picked 1-2-3 in the draft. The Titans, Jaguars, and Giants, all rebuilding squads, will be cupcakes for the AFC champions. Two matchups with the Raiders, whom Mahomes is 12-2 against in his career, should be two more wins.

Chiefs record prediction

  • Over/under win total: 11.5 (per BetMGM)

Bottom line: Kansas City didn't make any huge acquisitions in the offseason and had to trade away All-Pro left guard Joe Thuney to save money against the cap. However, it's impossible to discount after a third straight trip to the Super Bowl. Travis Kelce is in the twilight of his NFL career and is motivated to lift another Lombardi trophy with Mahomes before retiring.

The Chiefs aren't going to have the same kind of magic in one-score games as 2024, but they have a very favorable schedule that should allow them to pick up easy victories and be prepared to fully compete with the better teams they play. A road game against Buffalo, a home contest with the Eagles, and a possible throwaway game at the end of the season will be their only losses.

Record prediction: 14-3
