Josh Hart was hungry for more than a playoff win on Wednesday night.
After the Knicks latest unexpected playoff victory over the Celtics May 7, the guard sat down for a postgame press conference—but while trying to field questions, he pulled out his phone and started placing an Uber Eats order. Cameras caught the moment, and so did his teammate Jalen Brunson, who slowly closed his eyes and shook his head in subtle disbelief.
Even after admitting that he was ordering Uber Eats, Hart kept working on the order while a reporter kept trying to ask a question. The clip, shared by Yahoo Sports and others, quickly went viral. Fans couldn’t get enough of the dynamic between the two longtime teammates.
“Ordering Uber Eats in Boston after beating the Celtics is asking for food poisoning 😂,” one fan joked. Another wrote, “Where is that one friend who is supposed to order for everyone??” Others added, “He must’ve seen those prices,” and “Brunson looks like a disappointed dad.”
Some weren’t as amused. “So unprofessional,” one commenter griped, calling it a sign of “modern spoiled rich athletes.”
Still, for most fans, the moment highlighted why Hart and Brunson have become such a beloved duo in New York—talented on the court, and effortlessly entertaining off it.
As for what Hart ordered? That information wasn’t revealed—but judging by Brunson’s face, it better have been worth it.
