Lamar Jackson has had an underwhelming campaign this season with the Baltimore Ravens. He has suffered multiple injury concerns, including a hamstring injury that sidelined him for three games. During their Week 16 loss to the Patriots, the quarterback was taken out of the game early in the second quarter after suffering a back injury.
This situation has raised questions about Lamar Jackson's future with the franchise. On Wednesday, the Baltimore Sun added more fuel to the fire with a report that said there is a growing rift in the relationship between coach John Harbaugh and his quarterback. They also linked him in a possible trade with the Dolphins to replace the struggling Tua Tagovailoa, while claiming that Jackson has been falling asleep during team meetings.

"I think I said earlier this season, we take too much credence from anonymous type sources," Harbaugh said. "So I don't know where it's coming from. I've never seen that ever. That's not something I've ever witnessed and I'm in every meeting. "And to specualte about how I feel about it, I'l tell you how I feel. I'm pretty transparent about it. I think all the guys in the building will tell you, if I have something of conversation, something that I want to talk to them about, I'm right up front. ... Had a great conversation with (Jackson) this morning about a few things, football , how he's feeling and things like that. So, our relationship is A plus."Lamar Jackson is currently in the third year of the five-year $260 million extension he signed in March 2023. So far this season, the quarterback has recorded 2,311 yards and 18 TDs passing while rushing for two touchdowns in 12 games.
Lamar Jackson's injury update
After suffering from the back contusion against the Patriots, Lamar Jackson missed Tuesday's practice session with the team.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, coach John Harbaugh revealed that Jackson's status for their upcoming Week 17 game is questionable at best.
"Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters that it is 'undetermined' whether Lamar Jackson will be able to play Saturday nigth in Green Bay," Schefter tweeted. If the two-time NFL MVP misses Saturday's game against the Packers, then the team will have to rely on backup Tyler Huntley.
