The New York Jets have had a quarterback problem in 2025.
Justin Fields has had flashes of solid play, but more often than not, he leaves a little more to be desired. Given New York's current record, it would not be a shock to see them pick a new quarterback in next April's draft.
According to CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson, there's one up-and-coming quarterback who would be a perfect fit for New York in 2026.
Mock draft has Jets selecting Oregon's Dante Moore third overall
In Wilson's mock draft, he has the Jets picking Oregon quarterback Dante Moore with the third overall pick.
"Moore is a composed, confident pocket passer who thrives under pressure, consistently working through progressions and delivering accurate, tight-window throws with anticipation," wrote Wilson.
"He's highly effective when moving the launch point, showing the arm strength and touch to attack every level of the field -- often off-platform. While not a true dual-threat, Moore's poise, vision, and athleticism allow him to extend plays and create when protection breaks down, and he repeatedly shows up in big moments."
The sophomore quarterback is only in his second full season as the Ducks' starting quarterback, but has impressed.
Through eight games, he's led Oregon to a 7-1 start, racking up 1772 passing yards along with nine touchdowns and four interceptions, completing 71.4% of his passes.
Given his young age (20), it's entirely possible Moore could opt to return to college for one more season. But if he does come out, his traits and intangibles instantly make him a top draft pick.
