Jacoby Brissett's contract with Cardinals points to possible trade

6 hours ago 3

Jacoby Brissett has the eyes of the football world on him as he plays quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

He's starting in place of Kyler Murray, and he's making throw after throw after throw (and running a QB sneak for a touchdown for good measure).

It has many wondering: Could Brissett be a full-time starter somewhere?

It'll all depend on what's next on his contract.

What is Jacoby Brissett's contract?

Jacoby Brissett signed a two-year contract before this season to be Murray's backup in Arizona.

That means he has another year left on the deal.

Brissett is due $4.88 million in base salary for the 2026 season with a $1.75 million signing bonus.

That's not a bad deal at all for a backup. It's an even more team-friendly deal if someone thinks Brissett could be their starter.

It make sense to expect Brissett to be involved in some trade talks once the offseason arrives.

Or, if you want to get bold, maybe Murray will be the guy involved in trade talks.

But it does feel like some quarterback shake ups could be coming for the Cardinals sooner rather than later.
