Jazz Chisholm makes brutal comment on Yankees upcoming DJ LeMahieu decision

The New York Yankees are expected to activate Jazz Chisholm Jr. sometime in the near future, as he's getting healthy after dealing with the right oblique strain.

While that’s a good thing, the Yankees might have a tough decision on where he plays.

The Yankees are currently playing DJ LeMahieu at second base, and while he hasn't been great, there could be a scenario where they keep him at second and move Chisholm over to third.

When speaking to reporters about who would play third base, including Brendan Kuty of The Athletic, neither sounded too interested in moving positions.

One of them will have to.

“It’s whatever,” Chisholm said, shrugging. “I already did it.”

“Yeah,” LeMahieu said, “I feel really comfortable right now (at second base). I’m sure we’ll deal with it when we get there.”

Chisholm showed the ability to take over at third base when needed last season.

In a perfect world, the Yankees would designate LeMahieu for assignment, find a better option at third or second base, and have Chisholm play the other position.

Aaron Boone admitted that there isn't much to consider right now, considering Chisholm still isn’t activated, but said they'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

LeMahieu, hitting .211 with one home run in 19 at-bats, doesn’t bring much to the Yankees.

36 years old, he's put together a great career for himself. However, he hasn't been able to stay healthy recently, and his production has been below average, to say the least.
