Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has reacted to legendary quarterback Eli Manning’s son, Charlie, dressing up as him for Halloween. The Giants quarterback addressed reporters on Thursday ahead of the annual celebration.
Asked by reporters for his reaction to Charlie Manning’s choice of Halloween appearance, Dart said:
“I think it’s awesome. I’ve met Charlie a few times, obviously; been around Eli a lot, and I think maybe, like he said, he’s a little disappointed it wasn’t him, but it’s just a cool relationship, and I think it’s awesome.”•

Eli announced his son’s choice on Monday during the last episode of ManningCast as the Kansas City Chiefs battled the Washington Commanders. He was asked by his brother, Peyton, if it hurt that his son snubbed him for another Giants quarterback. He responded succinctly:
“Yeah, it hurts a bit.”It is not so surprising that Charlie is seeking to emulate Jaxson Dart, in whom he likely sees a bit of his dad. Like Eli, Dart is an Ole Miss alum. What’s more, both are first-round picks by the Giants. While Eli was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in 2004, Dart was selected with the No. 25 overall pick of the 2025 draft.
Eli went on to become a franchise legend, spending his entire 16-season career with the Giants and winning the Super Bowl twice. Although it’s a little too early to say, Dart clearly looks like he’s on his way to becoming an important franchise star.
Jaxson Dart wins NFL rookie honor
After a challenging start to life in the league, Jaxson Dart took over as the Giants’ primary quarterback from Russell Wilson. The rookie, after starting the Giants’ last five games, has been recognized by the NFL as the Offensive Rookie of the Month of October.
The quarterback became the fifth Giants player to win the honor since 2002, joining Jeremy Shockey, Gibril Wilson, Hakeem Nicks, and Odell Beckham Jr.
Dart passed for seven touchdowns through four games in October, the most by any NFL rookie. He also led other rookies in passer rating, rushing touchdowns (3), and total touchdowns. Scoring at least two touchdowns each week in October, Dart is up there with Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Daniel Jones.
Although the Giants sit at the bottom of the NFC East with a 2-6 record, Dart’s performance has been a silver lining for the team. He will lead the offense again on Sunday as they face the 49ers.
