Fans react to ATP Finals main draw, headlined by Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The former will lead Group Bjorn Borg and the latter will be playing from Group Jimmy Connors.

Jannik Sinner made his first year-end Championship appearance in 2023 and won the title last year. Carlos Alcaraz will vie for a title for the first time after reaching the semifinals in 2023. Novak Djokovic, the most-decorated tennis player in history, earned a record seven titles at the ATP Finals. On the other hand, current No. 3 Alexander Zverev will come as the next favorite with two titles in his resume, won in 2018 and 2021.

The players learned their ATP Finals fate as the main draw has been released. The teams are divided as below:

Group Jimmy Connors

  • Carlos Alcaraz
  • Novak Djokovic
  • Taylor Fritz
  • Alex de Minaur

Group Björn Borg

  • Jannik Sinner
  • Alexander Zverev
  • Ben Shelton
  • Felix Auger-Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti

As the official roster began making rounds on the internet, social media fans expressed their takes on it, some feeling that Sinner might lose the top rank, and some stating that the draw isn't balanced.

One fan noted that the Italian defeated all the members of his group in the Paris Masters.

"lmao Sinner literally just beat everybody in his group last week.'

Jannik Sinner has added two Grand Slam titles to his resume this year and racked up titles in Beijing, Vienna, and Paris. After he lost the US Open title to Carlos Alcaraz, he lost the top rank to the latter as well. He believed he could never return to the top spot, but after his Paris Masters heroics, he reclaimed the No.1 rank.

After his win in Paris, he stated that he knew he had a chance, saying:

"Well, it's not only in my hands, but I'm of course happy. I knew from the beginning of the week that there is this chance. But as I said, you know, before the final, before every tournament or before every match, I try to put the best performance I can on the court, and then whatever comes, comes. And this is how I went on court."

Sinner anchored his team to two Davis Cup titles in 2023 and 2024.
