India vs Australia Match Prediction: Who will win today's AUS vs IND 2025 4th T20I match?

Three matches into the series, what takeaways have India and Australia had? It's hard to say. When the action moves to the Carrara Oval on Thursday, November 6, both sides will have many questions to answer as their preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup continue.

India are level in the series despite not being very convincing in either department. The Men in Blue recently released Kuldeep Yadav from the squad to help him prepare for the upcoming Test series against Australia, while Hardik Pandya's absence has left a huge hole that is yet to be filled.

Australia, meanwhile, are without Travis Head, who has joined Josh Hazlewood in the list of players who were relieved from the T20I squad to take part in the Sheffield Shield. The Ashes is on the horizon, and the hosts can't afford any slip-ups in both form and fitness.

Despite all of that, though, India and Australia have treated fans to a high standard of cricket. And more of the same beckons...

India’s T20I squad for the Australia tour: Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar.

Australia's T20I squad for the India series: Mitchell Marsh (c), Sean Abbott (games 1-3), Xavier Bartlett, Mahli Beardman (games 3-5), Tim David, Ben Dwarshuis (games 4-5), Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood (games 1-2), Ben McDermott (standby player), Glenn Maxwell (games 3-5), Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitchell Owen, Josh Philippe, Tanveer Sangha, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis.

India's batting just doesn't inspire enough confidence despite their win in the previous game. As things currently stand, the hosts are far too reliant on Abhishek Sharma to give them a blazing start at the top of the order.

The visitors' team balance and bowling options are both limited, and they've been off the mark from a strategic perspective as well. With Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh having not much support in the pace department, India could be in trouble if Varun Chakaravarthy has a day where he goes wicketless.

Australia don't have all bases covered either. Their bowling attack isn't anywhere close to full strength, and their middle-order spin-hitting is questionable at best. The hosts should get a boost in that department, though, with Glenn Maxwell expected to make a long-awaited return from injury.

It's close, but Australia might just have more bases covered.

Prediction: Australia to win the 4th T20I vs India.
