Jamie Vardy has signed off from Leicester City with the record he was hoping for.
On this 500th Foxes appearance, Vardy opened the scoring in Leicester's 2-0 Premier League win over fellow relegated side Ipswich Town on May 18.
That strike brought Vardy up to 200 goals for the club as part of a double goal/appearance landmark as he prepares to leave the King Power Stadium.
Following confirmation of Leicester's slide back into the EFL Championship. Vardy revealed he would leave the club, when his contract expires at the end of June.
The victory over Ipswich was his final home game and the 38-year-old had an emotional post-game message for his adoring Foxes fans.
"I've enjoyed every minute of this. I look forward to keeping an eye on the club I love. They are in my heart," as per reports from BBC Sport.

Jamie Vardy's Leicester stats, trophies, records broken
200 goals in 500 games is the standout statistic for Vardy as he moves into his final week as a Leicester player.
145 Premier League goals places him at 13th on the EPL's all-time goal scorer list with Mohamed Salah the only currently-active player with more top-flight goals.
His most iconic moment came in Leicester's fairy-tale Premier League title win in 2015/16 - as he netted 24 league goals - and scooped the FWA Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year trophies.
He also won the EPL Golden Boot in 2019/20, with 23 goals, and lifted the FA Cup in 2021.

Vardy's place as a Premier League legend is unquestioned and his 200 goals have also broken new ground in some unusual metrics.
From the 34 players to have scored 100+ EPL goals, only Dwight Yorke [98.4%] has scored a greater proportion of his goals inside the penalty area than Vardy (97.9% - 142/145).
Alongside that stat, Vardy's evergreen ability was also shown as his latest goal bringing him up to 13 goals or assists in a single season.
13 years to the day since he signed for the club, Jamie Vardy has scored his 200th Leicester goal in his 500th and final match for the Foxes.
He's also equalled the record for the most goals + assists in a Premier League season by players aged 37 or over:

Alongside Teddy Sheringham, as the only two players to manage that feat in a single season, and an impact in the season finale at Bournemouth on May 25 will be another record broken for Leicester's legendary No.9.
